Myers Amusements is one of the cleanest and safest carnivals around. We have rides for all ages, specialty foods and the
games that people come back to play again and again. Although, we are continuously expanding, we will always stay family
oriented and stress high quality. We have come a long way over the years, and have made a million smiles along the way.
Myers Amusements was founded in March of 1974 when Allen Myers bought a cotton candy trailer from the man he had
worked for as a teenager. Mr. Myers came from a hard working family, and since he was a child, stood in the shadows of
many great men that instilled in him a great work ethic. A few years later Mr. Myers went to work as a coal miner and served
as an electrician for the Pittston Coal Company for over 20 years. Allen would later leave his home in Quinwood, WV, and
buy a farm in Mount Lookout, WV. On March 26, 1982, Allen Myers married Rainelle native Drema Walters.
In his off time and vacation time, and with the help of his new wife, he ran the concession trailer in the local area. The old
cotton candy trailer would be replaced in 1977 by a brand new Trailercraft concession. Mr. Myers acquired his first ride in 1986, and would add a few more kiddy rides through the years to run alongside the concession. His first major ride was purchased in 2000, about the time that the coal economy was going through some violent swings and Allen was laid off. He is now retired from the mines and the carnival keeps him busy nearly every day. From a simple popcorn trailer operated in his spare time, Mr. Myers built the show that he, his wife and two sons operate now.
